Linkblog: Static site generators are harmful to the free software
Something I found while DDG’ing for something totally different: A post from 2011, claming that Jekyll and other static site generators are, currently, harmful to the free, open source software movement..
Tl;dr. Disqus is bad. This is true. Solution: Just forego comments. And while you’re at it, share buttons, Google Analytics and all other tracking methods, too.
Imagine that you will never find if anybone ever retweets, likes, or shares any of your posts in Twitter, Facebook, or whatever is the soul-sucking eldtrich abomination of du jour.
Wait… What is that weird feeling…?
